As of 11.26.09 at 9:26....
I am daydreaming about MI characters and wondering what it would be like to go shopping on Black Friday. I've never been. Ever. I am also thinking about my project that I have to put together in order to get my extra fifteen points. Yes, I like extra credit. So sue me! Anyway, I REALLY want to go to BAM or B&N because I absolutely need new books. I'm going crazy here. Need something to read, I need something to read... But until tomorrow, I will have to wait. -_- I went back and read the comments to that "Reading Between the Lines" blog because I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of books the people I know like. Strange, really. So many people think Twilight is the best book they've ever read. Though, I have nothing against Twilight, or New Moon, or Eclipse, or Breaking Dawn, [I really don't, I adored the books!] it's like a book-session. It gets a bit annoying to hear the same series over and over, unless you're the author, I'm sure. But I'm not saying anything about the books, they're great, really. Plus, it's other people's favorite books, not mine. Though, I think the books start getting repetitive when you're asking quite a few people their favorite book, when they don't read a lot. Most people wouldn't have ever read Twilight unless someone else recommended it to them. I know I wouldn't have, because the only reason I bought it was because a stranger said it was a good book. For example, Bradlee wouldn't have unless I hadn't told her how good it was. And Courtney wouldn't have known The Lovely Bones existed if I hadn't told her how the movie was coming out, and lent her my book. I'm like my own personal library. I like owning my books so I can reread them. I guess I could consider myself a bibliophile. People borrow MY books, which I'm starting not to like because THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEM! Sorry, lost it for a second. I'm just extremely crazy about my books, and I don't like them looking raggedy when I know its because I trusted my friend enough to take care of it, and they didn't. So, I think I'll just revoke the priveleges of the Jordan Library, until further notice. Topic up for rediscussion when Midnight Sun comes out. :)
One book I found particularly interesting was the Shack by William Young. If you ever read it, you know what I mean, and if you hadn't you should. Unless you don't respect God and my beliefs in him, and then please, just terminate our friendship now.
Another book that's super interesting is After by Francine Prose. It's crazy, because in it, the school starts going insane about preventing school shootings. So they get metal detectors in the beginning. No big deal, right? Then emails start circulating through the parents, messing with their heads. And that's when the students start getting sent away. It's the one book about school I can actually say I enjoyed. ;)
I could talk about books forever. I love them. I can't understand why people hate reading. I mean, really, why? How is probably a better question. You know how back in kindergarten they tell you all this stuff about how reading takes you on a journey? Well, it's true. Honestly. Every time I open a book, I'm transported into another place. And I guess that's what separates the readers from the non-readers. Or my kind of readers anyway. The readers I know are big on imagination, and dreams, and creativity. People who don't read aren't much on daydreams and imagination. In my personal experience, anyway. I just feel that a book has the power to take me anywhere, let me do anything, let me have free rein in another world. Not everyone sees books that way though. Some people see them as torture devices. Yeah, right. If these are torture devices, then bring it on!
Unless it's the Hunger Games. Then, okay, yeah. It is torture.
There are so many questions in this absurdly long post.

[A]What's your stance on books?
[B]Do you agree with my readers/non-readers generalization?
[C]Have you ever read After or The Shack? Or tell me about one of the most interesting books you've ever read. *NOT asking for favorite.*
[D] Or just discuss some of what I covered in this post.

So the thing is...
I have this keypal. Her name is Vanessa and she lives in Canada. And she's definitely one of the coolest people you could ever meet. Funny thing? We exchanged AIMs in a JB chatroom on justinTV. She's like, the absolute best at giving advice, and it's cool knowing someone who lives somewhere else. Do you have a keypal, or have you ever? I think that they're a great idea. Everyone should have them. But that's just my opinion. :)

the world's still spinning? must be the music.
What makes a dreamer a dreamer?

I mean, I know I'm one, in more ways than you think. I daydream more than I read, which is a lot, if you know me. My focus can only be kept by interesting things. Most of which are things that could not occur under normal circumstances. I love fantasy. Ever read my favorite series? You should. It's the absolute best. It keeps you guessing because it has everything it needs to make a good book: action, adventure, romance, and teenage sarcasm. There's the vocabulary too. There's just something about big words that make me want to look them up and use them. Such as epithet or clinquant. Dreams set my imagination on fire. What's your opinion on dreams?
Last day of the week with thoughts of the Mortal Instruments.
Hm, the last day of the week. I keep thinking about my favorite book being turned into a movie, thanks to my recommendation of the book to Emily reminded me how much I adore the books. That, and Ms. Miller's blog about the best book I've ever read. I recommend that series to absolutely everyone. People who like Twilight and Harry Potter like them, as well as the people who are utterly tired of the Twilight Saga and Harry Potter pandemonium. Such as my aunt, who loved both series, and Emily, who can't stand Twilight. Despite the fact it has a teenage protagonist, I still feel these books are for everyone. What book would you recommend to everyone? What are your thoughts on our abnormally short week?

Blogging.
Happens to be something I already do, so this isn't a major deal to me. I found it interesting how people converse and discuss through blogs, so I made a tumblr. I probably have about a million accounts on blogger alone already... do you sign up to websites and then never visit them again ? I know I do.
